FAQ

Before you come in

Answers to the questions patients often ask before appointments, emergency visits and specialist care.

No referral is required to be seen at Emabal Hospitals. You can call us, use the contact form, message us on WhatsApp, or simply walk in. Our front desk will take a few details about your concern and route you to the right place — family medicine, a specialist clinic, diagnostics, or emergency care. If you already have a referral letter or results from another facility, bring them so your care team has the full picture from the start.

Yes. Our emergency service runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year. For anything urgent or life-threatening, come in immediately — and if you can, call +234 802 771 2811 on your way so our team is ready when you arrive. Please don’t wait for an appointment slot in an emergency; walk-in emergencies are always prioritised.

Bring a valid means of identification, any prior medical records or discharge summaries, your current medications (or a clear list), previous test and scan results, and your HMO or insurance details if you have them. It also helps to write down your symptoms and the questions you want answered — arriving prepared helps the doctor make faster, safer decisions.

You don’t have to work it out alone. Describe your symptoms or care need to our front desk and they’ll guide you to the right clinic. If your case needs more than one specialty, our departments coordinate so you’re never bounced around. When in doubt, start with Family Medicine or a general consultation and we’ll refer you internally as needed.

The hospital is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, and emergency care never closes. Outpatient specialist clinics run on scheduled hours that vary by department, so it’s best to call ahead or book online to confirm a clinic is running on the day you plan to visit.

Call +234 802 771 2811, tap “Book Now” to use the contact page, or reach us on WhatsApp. Share your name, the department or symptom, and a preferred time. The front desk will confirm your slot and let you know anything to prepare or bring beforehand.

We work with a range of HMO, corporate and self-pay options. Please confirm your coverage with the front desk before your visit so we can verify your plan and explain any out-of-pocket costs up front — we aim for no surprises on billing.
